Project 004: The SteamOS Machine
CATEGORY: LINUX GAMING | STATUS: RUNNING
A small gaming PC assembled from existing parts. Sometimes giving hardware a second job is more interesting than buying something new.
THE BUILD
| Part | Hardware |
|---|---|
| Processor | AMD Ryzen 5 3600X |
| Motherboard | ASUS ROG Strix B450-I |
| Graphics | PowerColor Radeon RX 6700 XT Fighter |
| Memory | 64 GB DDR4 |
| Purpose | Console-style Linux gaming, with Cyberpunk 2077 used for initial testing. |
Early tests showed that this hardware can still provide a perfectly enjoyable gaming experience. A proper write-up with game settings, screenshots, and repeatable benchmark data can go here later.
