A place for notes that haven't grown into full projects. Some repairs succeed. Others spend a long time on a shelf waiting for a better idea.
CURRENTLY ON THE BENCH
- Speaker repair: An Edifier R1280T that stopped behaving after a power problem. Still unresolved.
- Used server hardware: The Supermicro dual-Xeon system is a candidate for PCIe and networking experiments.
- Power protection: Working out the right UPS arrangements for rural power conditions and assorted computers.
HOW NOTES WILL BE KEPT
Each workshop entry should eventually say what broke, what was tried, and what actually happened. A photo of an uncooperative circuit board is much more useful than six paragraphs of optimism.
